Woodrow's Story

Woodrow (affectionately known as Woody) is a 2 year old Dachshund mix weighing about 22 pounds. Rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas, he’s learning that people can be kind and loving. Each day he grows braver and more comfortable, slowly shedding his shy side. Woody gets along wonderfully with other dogs and does fine with cats. He’s crate trained (but doesn’t love it), and his potty training is progressing nicely. While he sometimes uses potty pads indoors, he’s quickly catching on to outdoor routines with help from the resident dogs.

Woody would thrive in a calm, patient home that will give him the time to continue discovering what it means to be a cherished companion. He seeks out cuddles from his foster mom now and is forming a sweet bond with her. Don’t miss out on this sweet shorty!

Neutered, fully vetted, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped, Woody is ready to meet his forever family. His adoption donation is $400. To apply, please visit our website and use the drop-down menu at
https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org
PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application

We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.

Thank you for choosing adoption!!
