Woobie's Story
Some dogs have one speed. Woobie has two: Eeyore and Tigger

One minute, this 4-year-old, 70-pound sweetheart is perfectly content in his favorite spot on the couch, snuggled up like he's been your best buddy forever. But then you grab a leash or a treat, and Woobie is all smiles , happy wiggles , and ready to see what adventure the day has in store.

We think Woobie may be a Doberman mix, a Coonhound mix, or maybe some of both, but whatever his breed, we know he's 100% good boy. Woobie spent a long time surviving on his own before rescue, so having a safe place to call home means everything to him now. He's house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash (with a little pulling here and there), and knows that sitting politely is the fastest route to earning a snack.

People are his favorite. Big people, little people...he's happy to meet them all! And if you stop petting him before he's ready, don't worry - Woobie has no problem gently reminding you that your hand must've wandered away by mistake.

And speaking of favorites...every couch has that one perfect seat. You know the one. Woobie certainly does! Whether he's snoozing through an afternoon movie or accompanying you on an ice cream run (he highly recommends pup cups ), Woobie is simply happiest wherever his people are.

He enjoys other dogs and loves to play or cuddle with them, but he doesn't need a furry sibling to be happy. He's perfectly content being your one-and-only BFF. Cats, however, aren't really his thing, so he needs a cat-free home.

The funny thing about Woobie is that pictures don't quite do him justice. Meet him once, and you'll understand why strangers stop to tell him how handsome he is and kids yell across the street just to say he's cute. He's the kind of dog who wins hearts the old-fashioned way: by simply being himself.

Woobie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. His adoption fee is $175. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.
