Wonton's Story

Meet Wonton, the 10-month-old Shepherd mix who is living proof that big things come in small (initial) packages!

Wonton's journey hasn't been easy. She was found abandoned in a hotel room, so malnourished and tiny that everyone originally mistook her for a Chihuahua puppy. But with a little food, a lot of love, and some serious resilience, the "Chihuahua" phase passed, and a big, beautiful Shepherd girl emerged!

Wonton has been through a lot of transition—having been returned twice while with a previous rescue—and we are determined to make sure her next home is her onlyhome.

The Lowdown on Wonton:
Big Energy, Big Heart: Wonton is a high-octane girlie! She is full of puppy zest and needs a family that embraces an active lifestyle. Think long hikes, big yards, and plenty of mental stimulation.
Social Butterfly: She is a rockstar with other animals! She gets along great with cats and dogs of all sizes.
Fully Vetted: Wonton is already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, so she is officially ready to hit the ground running with her new family.
Success Strategy: Because of her energy levels, she would flourish in a home that understands the needs of a growing Shepherd mix. She would be the star of a doggy daycare program!

Wonton isn't a tiny lap dog—she's a powerful, happy, energetic girl who just wants to be part of the team. Let's help her find the family that can keep up with her!
