Wonka's Story

Hi, I'm Wonka! My foster mom sometimes calls me Peanut, because when I first showed up here, I was pretty tiny. I’m a yellow Labrador puppy, and now I'm a whopping 40 pounds of pure sunshine and energy, and just about four months old. Life is good!

My favorite thing ever is being outside. The smells, the textures, the sheer *freedom* of running around – it’s the best! I especially love chewing on sticks, even though my humans try to distract me with my stuff-less toys. Those flat squirrels and foxes are pretty fun to throw around, I admit. And a Nylabone? Forget about it! Give me a Kong filled with peanut butter and I’ll be occupied for a solid hour.

Playing with my puppy friends is awesome. I need another dog friend, preferably someone younger than me, someone with just as much energy. Being alone is boring. I’m really attached and I get lonely without them.

My foster mama says I need a family with a fenced yard, or even one of those invisible fences. I haven't tested the fence here, but I do love to dig. I'm a typical Lab, which means I'm a bundle of energy and love. I love kids, though my foster mom does warn that my baby shark teeth are a bit nippy. I'm losing them, though! I can sit and am learning to shake a paw, all for a yummy treat.

Even though I love being outside, I also love curling up in my foster mom’s lap for a nap. I’m crate trained, but she lets me sleep in her office with her during the day. I need a family that will take me outside a lot and keep me busy and happy. I need to learn how to walk on a leash, but if you have treats, I’m sure I can learn anything! Find me please.

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
