Wonder-Special Needs (Blind)'s Story
Age: 8 weeks I Size: Mini Poodle I Gender: Male I Special Needs-Blind

Wonder is a gorgeous miniature poodle puppy who is 8 weeks old and was born blind. He currently weighs about 5 pounds and will grow to be around 15 pounds.

Wonder does well using his other senses to navigate around his foster home and yard. He is an affectionate and playful puppy who loves to be held. He is learning to walk on a leash and is working on his housebreaking skills, and is making good progress. Wonder gets along with other dogs and would benefit from having another dog in his new home who can show him the ropes.

An ideal home for Wonder would be with someone that is home during the day who can spend lots of time with him. He likes to be right near you and can often get underfoot so he may be a tripping hazard for an elderly person. Due to his blindness, young children are not recommended. A home with a lot of stairs, furniture, and/or clutter would not be a good fit for him. Wonder's new family will have to be sure to make their home safe by gating stairways and other hazards that could be an issue for a blind dog. He has already mapped out his foster home in a short amount of time and can navigate around the house and yard like a champ.

Other than his vision, Wonder is a wonderful little puppy! He is happy and healthy and would love to be part of a loving family where he will get lots of attention. He is a sweet boy who will need a little extra support as he learns his way around the world, but he will be totally worth it!

If you are interested in Wonder, please complete an online application on our website. His adoption donation is $500.

Here is the link to the adoption application: https://www.poodlerescuene.org/adoptionapplication
