Wolfie's Story
Weight: 13 pounds
Age: 5 years
Are you an introverted single or couple and just want to live your life loving your happy dog and tell the rest of the world to go away? Well Wolfie is the dog for you. To his people, he is affectionate, silly, spunky, and a total doll. To the outside world, he's a yappy, unwelcoming fluff. He is loyal and very devoted to his one or two people.

He appears to have missed the critical social interaction with the wide world during his developmental puppyhood and is therefore maladjusted toward new people and dogs. When he's in his yard, the neighbor dogs bark at him and he's like whatever I don't care, but as soon as he's out on leash and sees a new person or dog, he's barking loudly.

When new people come over he would rather just be left alone, and if you hang out too long...like hours or days, he will start to let you know that you've worn out your welcome and he prefers for you to go back to where you came from.

Here is the type of home we see Wolfie doing well in:
Single person or couple - there's no room for extended family in his heart.
House with yard to chase a tennis ball and threaten squirrels (leashed walks only needed when you feel like causing a ruckus)
Any number of other little dogs, male or female is ok - he loves to play with other dogs!
No kids - he tried to bite the 11 year old kid in his foster home when he got too close to the mom that is Wolfie's favorite
Few to no visitors to the house - he can be crated when they're around, but he's not a fan of it

Random other info about Wolfie:
He has a cataract in his right eye but it doesn't bother him or need any correction.
He loves squeaky toys and will take all the toys out of the box to play.
He wants to be with you as much as possible...he waits while you're working and sleeps in your bed.
He does a funny can-can dance with his hind legs for a little while after he goes potty.
He has a lovely, soft coat and is fine with grooming and brushing.
He understands sit and no.
He desperately wants to please his person.

If you're interested in Wolfie, please submit an adoption application using the Word document found at this link:
http://smallchancerescue.com/Small_Chance_Rescue/Adoption_Application.html
