Wobble's Story
Wobble has a condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). CH is a neurological condition present from birth that occurs when the cerebellum—the part of the brain responsible for coordination and balance—doesn’t fully develop in the womb. Dogs with CH may appear wobbly or unsteady, but the condition is not painful and does not worsen over time. If you’d like to learn more about CH, the American Kennel Club provides a helpful overview here:

Wobble has truly grown up in rescue. We saved him and his eight siblings when they were just 7–8 weeks old, and now his first birthday has already come and gone. He is deeply loved in his foster home, but we would love even more to see him find the forever family he deserves.

Here’s where Wobble is in his journey:

- He is house-trained but will need patience and time to adjust to a new environment and routine.
- He is an independent eater. He eats and drinks on his own, though he prefers dining in the comfort of his kennel.
- Wobble loves playtime with other dogs and enjoys toys. He’s a total cuddle bug with both humans and canine foster siblings. While he enjoys having dog companions, he does not require another dog in the home. Continued socialization will be important, as his unique body language can take other dogs a little time to understand—but once they do, they quickly realize he’s all friend.
- He does great in his crate. Expect an enthusiastic welcome home, but he sleeps through the night and relaxes calmly during the day if left alone.

Because we’re committed to finding Wobble the perfect match, his adoption radius has been expanded beyond our usual three-hour limit from Chicago. However, approved adopters must still travel to Chicago to meet and finalize the adoption, as we do not transport.

Wobble’s adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, up-to-date preventatives, deworming, neuter, and microchip.

If you’re interested in being considered as Wobble’s forever home, please apply directly. For questions prior to applying, email [adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org].

Wobble may be a little wobbly on his feet, but his heart is steady, strong, and ready for his forever family.
