Wobble's Story

Wobble has a condition known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia. Cerebellar Hypoplasia is a neurological disease that is usually seen in puppies from birth. This occurs when the cerebellum, a part of the brain, doesn't form properly while the puppy is growing from the womb. Here is an article talking more about Cerebellar Hypoplasia as well as answers some additional questions.

https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/cerebellar-hypoplasia-in-dogs/?fbclid=IwY2xjawGTIpRleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHXK0TxonL8Kv-M6r8jQOHJDfogSXUxU-f4LiFBelW79SfYjc8CymTCMlNQ_aem_MowV19iioZ7E6T2EMf97yg

Wobble has truly grown up in rescue. We saved Wobble along with his 8 siblings when he was 7-8 weeks old and his first birthday has come and gone. He is so loved in his foster home but we all would love nothing more than for him to find his forever home.

Wobble has done so much learning and this is where he is at so far:

- He is potty trained but when moving to a forever home will need time to adjust to a new environment and schedule.
- He is able to eat and drink on his own. However, he does prefer to eat in his kennel.
- He enjoys play time with other dogs and toys. He is a cuddly bug whether it be with his humans or his dog foster siblings. He enjoys having his fur siblings so much however he doesn’t need a dog. What he would need is someone to continue socializing him as she his body language is a bit different than the average dog, his dog friends do tend to take a little bit to get used to him before realizing he is all friend.
- He does well in his kennel! He does give you an exciting welcome home but sleeps through the night and relaxes in the day with no problem if no one is home.

Wobble's adoption radius has been opened outside of our normal within 3 hours of Chicago. With that being said if selected you are still responsible for meeting in Chicago to meet and finalize as we do not transport. If you are interested in being considered his forever home, apply directly. If you have any questions before applying please email adopt@chicagorescueauthority.org. Wobble's adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccines, up to date on preventatives, deworming, neuter and microchip.
