Wizard's Story
Meet Wizard!

- Lab/Terrier Mix
- Male
- 4 Years Old
- 25 lbs

Wizard is a 4-year-old, 25-pound Lab/Terrier mix who is looking for a home where he can finally relax and be himself.

When Wizard first arrived at our shelter, he was a happy-go-lucky little guy ready to take on the world. Unfortunately, kennel life has proven to be incredibly stressful for him. Being housed in a small shelter surrounded by large, barking dogs has left him feeling overwhelmed, and it's clear that this environment is not where he's meant to be.

The difference between kennel Wizard and real-life Wizard is truly night and day.

In the kennel, you'll often find him pacing, barking, stress panting, and staying on high alert. But once he's away from the noise and chaos, his true personality shines through. Take him for a walk in the woods, let him spend time in the play yard, or simply sit with him one-on-one, and you'll discover a sweet, affectionate, and playful companion who just wants to be close to his people.

Wizard loves chasing tennis balls, exploring on walks, and ending the day curled up in a warm lap. He's an active little guy who enjoys adventures but also appreciates quiet time with his favorite humans.

Like any dog, Wizard has his quirks and opinions. He isn't looking for a perfect home just a patient one. He will need time to decompress, adjust to a new routine, and learn that the world doesn't have to feel so overwhelming.

Wizard's Ideal Home:
- Adult-only home preferred
- No cats
- Seems to do best with smaller dogs
- Fenced yard preferred
- Active family who enjoys walks, playtime, and companionship
- Patient adopters willing to help him settle in and build confidence

Wizard is struggling in the shelter, but we know there is a happy, goofy little dog underneath the stress. We're hoping to find someone willing to give him the chance he deserves.

If you're looking for a loyal companion and think Wizard could be the right fit for your family, we'd love to hear from you.

All of our adoptable pets are...
- Spayed or neutered
- Vaccinated
- Blood tested
- Microchipped
- Flea treated & dewormed

You can email us at adopt@whiteoakanimalsafehaven.com or give us a call at 412-672-8901 for more info!
