Winston's Story

Meet Winston:

Winston came into the world of rescue all on his own, but he hasn’t let that slow down his big heart. Full of love and affection, he’s ready to find a family to show him that life can be safe, fun, and full of love.

In his foster home, Winston is playful, curious, and confident. He loves exploring his surroundings, following his foster family around, and then relaxing on his own when he wants some downtime. He’s also learning how to play with toys and is starting to understand manners, like not jumping up, and he’s eager to please and learn.

Winston is very food motivated and enjoys his meals, eating consistently with a healthy appetite. He’s fully house-trained and goes potty on walks or in the backyard, with no accidents so far. While he has a crate available, he prefers sleeping on his bed and sometimes sneaks onto the couch when his fosters are away, showing he’s comfortable and confident in his space.

On leash, Winston is enthusiastic and social—he wants to greet everyone he meets, which means he can pull a bit but is learning to focus with guidance. He’s very friendly with people of all ages and is doing well warming up to his foster family, showing he’s a social and loving boy.

Health-wise, Winston is neutered, heartworm positive (treated and doing well), up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and otherwise healthy.

Winston would thrive in a loving home where he can continue to learn, grow, and thrive as the affectionate, playful, and devoted companion he truly is.
