Winston's Story
Meet Winston— The Almost Champion! No. Does he believe he should have been? Absolutely.

When he struts across the yard or around your living room, it’s with the confidence of a dog who has accepted second place to no one. His long legs, perfect floppy ears, and “I’m basically famous” attitude will make you feel like you’re living with canine royalty — the kind that eats socks instead of caviar.

But beneath that almost champion swagger, he’s a total sweetheart.
Here’s what you’ll love about him:

2 years old — young, goofy, fun
Crate & house trained — even champions need manners
Dog-social and friendly — loves playtime and pack life
Kid-approved — gentle, kind, and patient with little fans
Professional cuddler after he gets his zoomies out

Winston is ready for his next big victory: winning your heart and securing the title of Best in Home — gold medal guaranteed this time.

If you’re looking for a dog with charm, humor, superb good looks, and the confidence of a champion (real or imagined), Winston is your boy.

Come meet him — he’s been practicing his winner’s walk!

If you are interested in adopting Winston, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
