Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie! She is a one-year-old mixed breed who is eager to find a good home! She is smart, playful, and respectful with older kids and adults. Her adopter is asking the rescue to rehome her as she is too rough with her older dog and has some resource guarding with food. This is Winnie's second home. She had previously lived with a family who had a son who played too roughly with Winnie, and she would wrestle in kind. We do believe she can become a well-trained dog with someone who is consistent as she is very smart. Here is what her adopters have said about her:

She's a friendly and funny pup who loves to make her humans smile. Winnie has a lot of energy and is always up for a game of fetch or an afternoon stroll. She's an intelligent girl who's always listening out for commands and doing her best to be a good dog, she has already learned several tricks. She's a affectionate pup who loves to cuddle up on the couch with you! She is so smart she would probably do well with advanced training too. Winnie has had great interactions with other dogs and would do well with a slightly older dog to help her get some energy out.

Winnie is friendly with dogs, but needs to learn boundaries. She could be an only dog or learn to live with another dog, but with an experienced adopter.

She is vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on preventatives.

If Winnie sounds like a good fit for your family, please write to raddrescue1@gmail.com or submit an application today.
