Winnie's Story

Winnie is a 7 year old red brindle female. None of the photos we have of her do her justice. She is a beautiful red brindle female who has been returned because she didn't make a good only dog. MoKan Greyhound Adoption's Adoption Policy

We are first and foremost dedicated to placing retired racing Greyhounds into loving homes. Our placement area most of Missouri and most of Kansas. Because there are many high quality adoption programs across the country, we do not make placements beyond those two states. Greyhounds placed through our program usually are between 18 months and four years old. These ex-racers are intelligent, quiet, clean, gentle, good-natured, adaptable dogs who adjust readily to their new home environment. They are eager to please and respond positively to any attention. They do not require a great deal of space to run, as many people think, but they do need exercise.
