Winnie's Story

**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

At 64 pounds, Winnie is still pretty sure that she's a lapdog. This affectionate sweetheart wants nothing more than to be held and cuddled. She can be a little timid and scared of new things at first, but having her person nearby helps her feel brave! Because of her eagerness to cuddle and her size, Winnie may be better fit for a home without small children.

She's fully potty trained (her foster parents report 0 accidents!), and is not reactive to cars, people, or other pups on walks.

Winnie's dream home includes:
- A fenced yard where she can chase squirrels
- A window to watch the world from
- At least one other dog who can help her feel confident and secure

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
