Winnie's Story

Winnie is a gentle, sensitive soul learning how to feel safe in a big, sometimes overwhelming world. She may be a little anxious at first, but beneath that uncertainty is a deeply loving girl who just wants comfort, connection, and a place to belong.

Her favorite thing? Being close. Whether she’s curled up next to her person or snuggled in with another dog, Winnie finds peace in companionship. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly lean into you, soaking up reassurance and giving that same warmth right back.

Winnie also has an adventurous side. She loves going on walks and exploring at her own pace—it’s her way of clearing her mind and building confidence. With each new experience, she grows a little braver.

Because she can be easily overwhelmed by loud noises and busy environments, Winnie would do best in a calmer home with children over 12 who understand her need for gentle interactions. She startles easily, so she’s looking for a family that will move with patience, speak softly, and help her feel secure.

Winnie isn’t a “jump right in” kind of dog—but if you give her the time and understanding she needs, she will blossom into the most loyal, affectionate companion. The kind of dog who chooses you, trusts you, and loves you deeply.

All potential Forever Fosters must reside within 100 miles of Mt Juliet, TN.
