Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie (221D) – Adoption Ready
Location: Bon Aqua, TN
DOB: 04/01/2023

Winnie is an exceptionally happy, affectionate girl who approaches life with enthusiasm. She wakes up ready to be part of whatever her people are doing and thrives on inclusion and attention. She has never met a stranger and greets everyone as a potential new best friend.

Winnie loves being the center of attention. If you are standing, she will gently rest her head against your chest. If you are sitting, she will tap you with her paw to ask for affection. She truly wants to be involved in everything and does best in a home where she is considered part of the family.

Her energy level is moderate. She enjoys going for walks and engaging in activity, but she also settles well and relaxes appropriately once her exercise needs are met. The only thing that seems to make her nervous is beeping sounds.

Winnie is housetrained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and rides well in the car. She is smart, affectionate, and very people-oriented.

Winnie has lived with both large and small dogs. She generally does well, especially with calm and easygoing dogs. Because she enjoys being the center of attention and has a big personality, she can overwhelm more sensitive or assertive dogs. She previously had issues with a female French Bulldog but did well with a male French Bulldog. She has also met female Great Danes and was very excited, struggling somewhat with impulse control.

For this reason, Winnie would do best either with a calm, passive dog (medium to large preferred) or as an only dog where she can receive all the attention.

She does well with children and enjoys them, but due to her size and enthusiasm, she could accidentally knock over very small children. She is extremely friendly with adults and strangers.

Winnie has weepy eyes, likely due to allergies. This is manageable but something adopters should be aware of.

Her ideal home is one where she will be included, loved, and given plenty of attention. She has always lived around other dogs, so transitioning to being an only pet may require some patience as she adjusts.

Winnie is affectionate, social, and devoted. For a family looking for a loving companion who wants to be involved in daily life, she is an excellent match.

All donation options, adoption applications, and important links are available here:
https://linktr.ee/Srgdrr

If donating, please note who or what your donation is for.
