Winnie's Story
Say hi to Winnie! Winnie is 2 years old, 60lbs, and she is currently being fostered in Orange County, California.

Winnie is the perfect balance of playful energy and calm companionship. In the morning, she enjoys 20 to 30 minutes of running or playing fetch, and in the evening, she’s happy with either a 30-minute walk or another quick game of fetch. The rest of the day, she is content to quietly follow you around or curl up nearby, occasionally nudging you for belly rubs.

Beyond her affectionate nature, Winnie is highly intelligent and incredibly eager to please. A professional trainer described her as one of the easiest dogs they’ve ever worked with. She has mastered an impressive list of commands, including sit, stay, wait, down, look at me, touch, drop it, leave it, go get it (with delayed release), and turn around. She is also well-behaved on a leash and is actively working on ignoring passing scooters and resisting the urge to join ball games at the park.

Winnie gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children, even toddlers. She's very mindful and gentle around the toddler, even during her zoomies. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and well-mannered indoors. At her foster home, she often chooses to rest in her crate during the day and sleeps there at night. However, if left alone, she prefers to free roam—not to cause trouble, but simply to wait patiently for her person to return. The worst thing she might do is snuggle up with one of your shoes as a way to tell you she misses you.

Winnie would thrive in a home where she receives plenty of love, structure, and continued training. She doesn’t require an excessive amount of exercise but does best with regular playtime and engagement. A yard would be a plus, but she would also do well with an active owner who enjoys daily walks.

If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and affectionate companion, Winnie is ready to be your best friend. She has so much love to give and is eager to find a forever home where she can continue to learn, play, and be part of the family. Please text 314-210-4418 for questions and next steps.
