Winnie's Story

Winnie is a 7 month-old German Shepherd mix with a joyful spirit, a curious mind, and just the right amount of puppy enthusiasm. She greets the world with confidence with tail wagging, eyes bright, and always ready to be part of the action.

Winnie is absolutely thriving in doggie daycare when her foster works all day, where her love of other dogs truly shines. She is exceptionally social and delights in playtime with her canine friends, making her an ideal candidate for a home with one or more friendly, well-socialized dogs. She would flourish in a household where she has dog companions to learn from, play with, and burn off her puppy energy—but she could also succeed as an only dog with plenty of enrichment and interaction.

Like any puppy her age, Winnie is a busybody who loves to stay engaged. She seeks attention and affection and enjoys being included in whatever her people are doing. She’s curious, eager, and happiest when her mind and body are kept active.

It’s never easy watching a puppy grow up in rescue. Puppies are often adopted quickly—but sadly, they’re sometimes the first to be given up on when people realize that great dogs aren’t born, they’re trained. Winnie is still learning and still growing, and she deserves a family committed to guiding her through puppyhood and into the exceptional adult dog she’s becoming.

Winnie is fully potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside, even overnight if necessary. Her best trait is that she is extremely outgoing, friendly, and absolutely adores everyone she meets. When playtime winds down, she is affectionate, cuddly, and eager for closeness.
If you’re looking for a highly social, affectionate, energetic young dog and are ready to invest the time it takes to raise a puppy properly, Winnie is truly something special.
