Meet Winnie!<br/><br/>This little lady is a sweet, loving 9-year-old terrier mix looking for her forever home! Winnie was brought to us when her owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for her. She was very overweight because she was fed pretty much whatever her heart desired, so we started her on a healthy diet, and she has slimmed down to a healthy weight! Although Winnie is blind and a little hard of hearing, she doesn't let that slow her down—she navigates the world with grace and curiosity, relying on her other senses to explore her surroundings. She's incredibly affectionate and enjoys cuddling, snuggling, and being close to her people. Not being able to see you, Winnie loves to be around her people and is always looking to be by you. When you put your hand out to get her, she sniffs you, starts wagging her tail, and puts her little paw out to say hi back. It is one of the sweetest things I have ever seen! Winnie is calm and great with other pets and children, making her an ideal companion for a quiet household. She's a loyal and loving companion who will fill your home with joy and warmth.
