It is likely that we do not have the answer to any other questions, but will do our best ****<br/><br/>LOCATION: Houston, Tx and available for transport outside of the state of Texas.<br/><br/>Meet Winn-Dixie (aka Winn) ?<br/>Male | 2-5 Years Old | Anatolian Shepherd Mix<br/><br/>Winn is a big-hearted, big-bodied goofball with a deep love for his people and a strong protective instinct—true to his Anatolian Shepherd roots. He’s about 2-5 years old, full of playful energy, and happiest when he’s hanging with his humans, especially if that means sitting on the porch—even in the rain.<br/><br/>Winn is affectionate, loyal, and goofy, but he’s also naturally protective of his home and family. He’s skeptical of strangers at first, but once he bonds with you, he’ll love you fiercely.<br/><br/>His story is just as big as his heart—Winn was found wandering a rural neighborhood after Hurricane Beryl, with a rope still tied to his collar. Residents fed him for weeks, but he stayed distant—until two visiting grandkids showed up. Winn quickly befriended the children and began watching over the property like it was his job. Though the family couldn’t keep him, a rescuer stepped in to help.<br/><br/>Now in foster care, Winn has blossomed in a home setting. He’s house trained, kennel trained (he prefers a larger kennel), and knows basic commands like sit, wait, and “off.” He responds best to verbal correction and needs a dog-savvy person who understands large, working breeds.<br/><br/>He’ll thrive in a home with someone who is firm but gentle, with intermediate to advanced experience handling large dogs.<br/><br/>He’s a truly special boy, and his foster has loved every minute with him.<br/><br/>If you have room in your heart and home for a loyal, loving, and protective companion, Winn-Dixie could be your perfect match.<br/><br/>View more of Winn here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10108649240320205&type=3<br/><br/>-Crate trained<br/>-Potty Trained<br/>-Dog Friendly (very slow introductions)<br/>-Good around older kids (is too playful for younger children)<br/>-Loves squeaker toys, chews, and stuffies<br/>-Loves to play fetch<br/>-Up to date on shots<br/>-Recently completed HW treatment<br/>-Neutered<br/>-Loves to follow his foster family everywhere<br/><br/>—————————————<br/><br/>Our dogs live in foster homes while they wait patiently for their forever families to find them. This is beneficial in that they learn house manners, crate training, housebreaking, etc while they wait and we are also able to get a very realistic picture of their energy level, temperament, etc so that we can place them in a home that is the best fit.<br/><br/>Our adoption fees are $200 for dogs over 1 year of age and $250 for dogs under 1 year of age.
