Windy's Story
Windy is a young long-haired Chihuahua mix with a story as unique as her sweet little face. After spending her first year in a crate, she’s now discovering what it truly means to be a dog — and she’s doing it with charm, silliness, and a whole lot of heart and small dose of skepticism.

Windy lives with other dogs but can be a little selective who she spends her time with. She either likes someone or she doesn't. She loves to trash-talk the other dogs she is currently living with.

Windy had one eye removed after her rescue, which makes her extra special. Sometimes she spins left or hesitates at thresholds, but with patience and encouragement, she straightens herself out. She’s also learning potty training and thrives when things feel like her idea — she’s too smart to be coerced!

Because of her small size, she’d do best in a home with older children who understand how to be gentle with her. (Sorry, no little kids or grandkids for this girl).

Since she can be a little skittish around new people, a couple of meetings with her may be necessary in order for her to get used to you. All meet & greets take place in South Jersey, where she is being fostered. As always, all family members and resident pets must be present at the meets.
