Wilma's Story

*Can be tested with cats.

A little about Wilma's backstory- Her and her puppies were dropped off at an elderly woman’s house by a family member. At both places of residence, they were kept outside in the elements without shelter, never given any preventatives or vaccines, and were covered in fleas.

Their new caretaker could not afford to feed them so they were on their way to starving or freezing to death. ? Thank goodness a friend of the family reached out to ask us for help! They have now been given flea baths, treatments for the raw spots on momma’s bottom, and a warm place to sleep. She is a Catahoula mix. She is gaining weight and did have at least one litter that we know of. She is estimated to born in June of 2022.

I am so gentle, even after everything I have been through in my short life, I want to be loved on! I am quiet, except when it is time to eat! I would love to be cuddled and pet in your home. Wilma loves to play with her puppy Pebbles and gets along well with all other dogs she has met so far. She can be shy at first with new humans but warms up quickly given time and space to learn about the new people in her area. She loves treats and has been gentle and patient with the 3 year old human at the property.

Getting spayed January 9th
