Willy's Story
Willy is soooooo sweet and kind and even though he looks to be a Belgian Tervuren, his gentle nature is more similar to a golden retriever. This boy found himself alone so where better to find others than the local golf course. He moseyed after his new foursome of friends to the end of the 18th hole and then was picked up by rural animal control. That's Willy's story and he's not giving any more details. Then is then and now it's time to find his next golfer : )

Willy is a young fellow, probably about a year and a half old, and is not that beefy under his fluffy outerwear. He has fostered at two different country type homes so that he can experience one with other dogs and cats and plenty of offleash time, and one where he gets leash walks, water time, and all the attention. Of course, he has aced both of his foster situations and has proven to be a solid, easy going housemate who prioritizes love.

They say that the Belgian Tervuren is a Belgian Malinois that you can live with. What we know of Willy is that he is NOT looking for a typical Belgian home where guardians are used to managing/fulfilling their high natural drive and uber intelligence. That's not to say that Willy isn't intelligent but he is not a working dog. Instead, Willy is looking for a loving home where he can act like a collie with a few Belgian breed traits sprinkled in for giggles. For instance, when Willy is left home alone, he will greet his person excitedly when she arrives home and then immediately move through the house as if he's checking that there are no intruders and everything remains in place. Home security of the softest kind.

Willy would welcome a country home where he is the love of someone's life. When you are as soft in temperament as he is, affection, kindness, and love are priorities. Another sweet and playful dog brother or sister is welcome, as are cats, or gentle children. Willy is an uber beautiful boy on the outside that barely contains his sunshine and lollipops insides. Someone is going to be VERY lucky to welcome his aura into their lives.

To welcome this special guy into your home, fill out the adoption application at the link below.

Willy is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated (DAPP and rabies). His adoption fee is $850.

Adoption process includes application, virtual home visit, phone interview, reference check, meet & greet, adoption contract and $850 adoption fee.

Fill out an adoption application below (copy the link below into your browser).

***Fill out the ADOPTION APPLICATION****
https://signup.ifaw.org/en-ca/northern-dogs-adoption-application-form
