Willow's Story

WILLOW URGENTLY NEEDS A COMMITTED ADOPTER..
---

Willow (previously known as Sharkie) is a sweet, approx 4 to 5 yr old Basset Hound and American Staffordshire Terrier mix who loves to snuggle, ride in cars, and spend time with her favorite people. Saved from shelter euthanasia, this mellow girl is spayed, housebroken, crate-trained, and ready for her forever home.
Meet Willow
Personality: Sweet, snuggly, and mostly low energy with funny bursts of excitement.
Quirks: She loves car rides and might "pancake" and pout if she misses a trip or if her favorite guy friend leaves in his pickup.
Couch snuggling is on Willow's favorites list. Note that she has not yet mastered the art of identifying personal space.
Medical: Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative/on prevention, has some scarring and a healing knee.
Her Ideal Home
Humans: Loves everyone, especially men! Does best with kids 8 yrs and up. Barks when new people visit, but makes friends fast. Willow would really prefer her people stay home with her all day... unless it means she gets to go for a fun car ride.
Pets: Prefers to be an only pet or live with a totally mellow, chill dog; cats may work with slow, proper introductions.
When on Leash: Not leash-reactive, but can be a bit uneasy in general around other dogs.

Watch Willow in Action
See her personality shine with people in this YouTube Short (note: she is no longer at the shelter and is in a foster home).
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/DyVX40h2yCk

Watch her shelter playground video on YouTube (note: she is no longer at the shelter and is in a foster home).
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN2e6fDHmLs

Willow's foster cannot keep her much longer.
