Willow's Story

Willow! COURTESY POST ONLY, not a Lucky Day Dog<br/>Willow is a beautiful country girl looking for room to run and play. Willow is guessed to be a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix who is only 7 months old. She is in need of a new home due to having more exercise needs than her elderly mom with health issues can provide. Willow is sweet and intelligent, as well as highly driven with the herding habits of a BC. She loves to chase cats and rabbits. She is also food reactive towards other pets. We have been working with her on this, but she will need more support in this area. She knows basic commands but has a stubborn streak like a Pyr. She really is a fast learner when she stays focused. She also loves to play fetch. She has a lot of energy and will be in need of more training and socializing. She was intended to be a Service Dog for her mom, but Willow's energy level has proven too much for her. We just know, if given the chance, she will grow into an even more amazing dog than she already is. She loves to play with other dogs, but she is getting to be a big girl with big paws, so a larger companion would be best. She walks off leash and has good recall unless she comes upon a jack rabbit. She is currently located in Monte Vista, CO, but her current owners are willing to travel to help her out. Willow is already spayed and current on all her vaccinations. We think she would love a home with room to roam or a job to keep her busy. If you are interested in bringing Willow into your family or have more questions, please contact Christa at home4willow25@gmail.com
