VIP: Willow was adopted from us when she was a little puppy and now at the age of 8 needs to find a new home. She is very smart and is housetrained. Willow knows the commands sit, come, lie down and walks well on a leash. Willow is friendly with children and gets along with other dogs, cats and even livestock. She was given up due to someone in the home having allergies. Willow went on a group dog walk to a local park along with other dogs from the shelter and the volunteers said that she was such a good girl! Willow was very easy to harness and jumped right into the car and rode nicely. Willow was very easy to walk and got along with all of the other dogs in the group. She is a very sweet girl! <br/><br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. When calling or emailing about an animal, please be sure to use the animal identification number that starts with A.

Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
