Willow 's Story

Hi there!

My name is Willow and I was brought to the Stafford County Animal Shelter as a stray, although it was later discovered that my previous owner had given me to family who in turn surrendered me as a stray. I am now off my stray hold and hoping to find a husky-savvy home who can provide me with the mental and physical stimulation that my breed desires.

The shelter was able to get in contact with my previous owner, who adopted me from a difficult situation. While living with them, I also lived with a pit bull terrier who they said I got along fine with. I have not yet been dog-tested here at the shelter so please bring any dogs for a meet-and-greet. My previous owner stated that as a result of my past, I can be possessive of my food but I am trained to sit and wait before eating and feeding me separately from other dogs is a must.

The shelter is a very overwhelming environment for me and huskies in general, do not do great here. The shelter does not know how I would be with cats but my breed can have prey drive so please keep that in mind.

I have such tremendous potential and in the right home, will thrive. As I am not yet spayed, adoption is currently restricted to Stafford or bordering jurisdictions. My adoption fee is $45 and adoptions are first-come, first-served. Please bring a picture ID/current address verification at time of adoption.
