Willow's Story

We advise all adopters to expect the 3-3-3 rule as a general guideline for introducing a pet to the home: 3 days to decompress (will show nervousness, hiding, reduced appetite), 3 weeks to settle into a routine (beginning to explore and showing personality), and 3 months to build trust and feel fully comfortable in their new home. This period may be longer for shy or extremely scared animals.

Willow is a fantastic girl, making up for time spent chained. She came to us terribly skinny, but she doesn't have that issue anymore! If given an opportunity, Willow would eat an entire bag in one sitting. She is extremely food motivated (to the point of obsession) and could use some definite training in manners. She is active, happy, does beautifully with people, and does great with every dog she's met.
