Willow's Story
This is a COURTESY POSTING for a dog that is not in an APB foster home. Adoption details will be worked out between Willow's current owner and the potential adopter, with APB coordinating the application, a home visit, and vet reference check.

Willow is a 2-1/2 year old Italian greyhound/chihuahua mix and is about 14 pounds. She is very good with children and adults, and friendly to new people who approach her. She really enjoys her daily walks around the neighborhood, getting treats from people she meets on her walks, running circles in her fenced back yard at a high rate of speed and playing with her squeaky toys.
She loves to cuddle and lick her people and for such a young girl, she can be quiet for hours just watching TV on the couch with her family or hanging out at home looking out the window waiting for her people to come home. She is trained to use a doggy door but it is unknown how good she would do if left alone for an
entire day without access to her yard.
Willow does require a fenced property as the greyhound in her makes her want to run like the wind for fun and once she starts running she would not necessarily return home without a fence to keep her safe.
Willow has lived with a companion dog who was already in the home and had no issues with the other dog, but is not getting along with the dog who has been adopted into her home since then. She may not react as well if another dog was brought in after Willow is in the home as she wants to “own” her person, and we recommend that Willow be adopted as an only dog.
