Willow's Story
Willow has come a long way since the day she arrived at UPAWS.

This beautiful 2-year-old girl came to us feeling scared and unsure of herself, but little by little, Willow has been showing us who she really is — a happy, goofy, playful dog with a whole lot of personality waiting underneath.

Once Willow feels comfortable, she is an absolute sweetheart. She loves being with her people, enjoys attention and has a fun, silly side that comes out more and more as her confidence grows. Give her a squeaky toy and you’ll really see her light up! She loves to play, happily carries her toys around and is always ready for a little fun.

Willow is also a smart girl who already knows some basics and responds beautifully when things are kept positive and encouraging. She has lived with children and another dog in her previous home.

Willow has previously lived with another dog and may enjoy having a canine friend again. A meet-and-greet with any resident dog would be recommended to help make sure everyone is a good match.

What Willow needs most is a family who understands that she may need a little time to feel comfortable with new people and new surroundings. She does best when she is allowed to take things at her own pace rather than being rushed. Give her that little bit of patience, and the goofy, affectionate Willow we’ve gotten to know starts shining through.

This girl has made wonderful progress since arriving at UPAWS, and it has been pretty special watching her confidence grow. Now she’s ready for someone who will keep cheering her on and show her just how good life can be.

If you have room in your life for a sweet, playful girl who is still discovering how brave she can be, Willow may be waiting for you.

Pet adoption sponsorship from Samantha.
