Meet this gorgeous boy, Williston...Willy for short. He is a Great Dane/Lab mix who was born in care with us at WAG 4/3/2024 and became part of the litter known as the Popular City puppies. Born to Navi last year, Willy was adopted out to a family who returned him recently saying they could not care for him anymore. His large size became a factor and became scared of the little kids. <br/><br/>Since coming to WAG, it has become clear that he needs a home that will take the time to build his trust with a slow hand and a kind voice. He takes a minute to warm up, but then all he wants is to have pets and cuddles. He is so very sweet and loving once he feels safe. Willy absolutely LOVES to run and play; his big tennis balls are his favorite. He is still learning how to fetch instead of playing keep away. He has made several doggie friends since being back at WAG and is always eager to make more. Willy is housetrained. He is excellent on a leash and has learned simple commands since coming back. He is such a good boy. <br/><br/>He exhibits a lot of the Great Dane behaviors such as walking at your hip, the typical loving leaning on you, and I am sure he would back up to sit on your couch. This funny, silly and sweet boy is just in need of an adopter(s) that will build his confidence back up, make him feel safe and loved again.
