Willie Nelson

We have the sweetest little small-breed puppies available for adoption through our rescue, and we want to be completely transparent about what these babies need.

Willie is one of these puppies. He is about 11 weeks old and 7 pounds.

Because they are so small and delicate, homes with young children are not a good match. These tiny pups can be easily injured by rough play or accidental bumps. Even jumping down from a chair or couch can cause them to break a leg. We do think an active home with older children with experience with small dogs would be fine. These puppies do love to play, so another small, young, playful dog would be best.

Please also keep their long lifespan in mind — these little ones often live 16–18 years.
