Willie Jack's Story

This little guy is the cutest "pocket Elkhound" we have ever seen. He is 3 years old and full grown but only weighs 39 pounds and should weigh about 35 based on his size. He is a little bit overweight. He is wonderful with people of all sizes, but we have heard he will chase a kitty. He is so funny and will stand on his back legs and walk for treats. He walks well on a leash and loves car rides, but is a little unsure about jumping right in and generally needs a little help. He has a staller disposition and would be great for a medium energy level home. He is also a fantastic size and easy to travel with and get in and out of the vehicle. He is making the transition from being an outdoor dog to living in a home and it is going extremely well. Being on a good schedule is certainly helping. He does get along with other dogs but can sometimes be intimidated by larger dogs. If I had to compare his current size to another breed, he is about the size of a sheltie or larger cocker spaniel. If you love the breed but the normal size has you intimidated, Willie Jack may be the guy for you. Please email iPAWinc2022@gmail.com for an application.
