Meet Willie<br/>Willie is a sweet 2 year old, 23 lbs gentle boy looking for a patient and loving home where he can continue to build his confidence. He recently lost much of his vision after being hit by a car and losing his left eye, so hes still learning how to navigate the world around him. New places and changes can make him hesitant, and if hes unsure about where hes being led, hell sometimes put on the brakes. With a little reassurance and a patient person by his side, hes making steady progress every day.<br/>Around the house, Willie is learning his way around and becoming more comfortable in his surroundings. Hes eating well, settling into a routine, and continues to gain confidence. Hes mostly house trained, with only a couple of accidents, and hes still working on asking to go outside. One challenge hes overcoming is a single step leading onto the deck, but with encouragement, hes getting more brave!<br/>Willie has a playful side, too! He enjoys entertaining himself with toys, especially a ball, and he definitely appreciates having safe chew toys since he likes to chew. Hes also working on his manners and responds well to gentle guidance.<br/>Deep down, Willie wants to be a cuddle bug. He loves being close to his people, though he may need a little time to feel comfortable enough to fully relax and snuggle. Once he trusts you, youll see just how affectionate he can be, and it doesnt take long for him to trust you<br/>He gets along well with other animals. Willie has been indifferent around five resident cats, and he has politely tried to invite an older small dog to play, even if his invitation wasn't accepted haha!
