LOCATED IN LOUISIANA <br/><br/>Willie Earl came to us at the end of December 2023 with a broken leg and a bleak future. Fortunately, our vet was able to repair the leg, and after almost 16 weeks of confinement and rest, Willie Earl is healthier than ever and ready to find his forever home! <br/><br/>Willie is a very high energy dog who loves to run, ride in the truck, and splash in the water. He is a quick learner and loves treats. He does well with most* other dogs. He would do best in a home with a big yard where he and his fur friends can run and play all day, or with someone who is very active and can take him on adventures with them. <br/><br/>Willie has decent leash manners, and he is always willing to go for a run. He does well off leash as well, and he has a decent recall. He does have a bad habit though - he has a tendency to jump when he gets overly excited, so he needs someone who can help him channel that energy in a positive way. This behavior occurs a lot less when he has plenty of play time during the day. <br/><br/>He has never bothered our horses (would not trust him around chickens though). <br/>He does ok with our cat.<br/>He likes kids, but he tends to get excited and wild around them. <br/>He can be a talker when he wants something. <br/>He is crate trained and working on house training (he really prefers to be outside). <br/>He loves being around his people. <br/><br/>Willie is a very good natured dog, but his big personality can be a lot to handle. Therefore, he will require a special person.
