Willie's Story
Meet Willie — the sweetest little shadow you never knew you needed.

Willie is a 13-year-old Italian Greyhound with a heart of pure gold.

He is incredibly affectionate, mild-mannered, and happiest when he’s curled up right next to his person. Willie is an expert cuddler — truly a professional — and he will gladly supervise every task you do just to be close to you. If you’ve wanted a loyal companion who loves nothing more than to be by your side, Willie is your guy.

Willie is currently thriving in his foster home with five other Italian Greyhounds and his sister Tinkerbell, a Chihuahua/IG mix who is also available for adoption. He gets along beautifully with all of his foster siblings and has been friendly with every dog he’s met, big and small. He has done well with older children, too.

The only thing Willie is not a fan of is cats, so a feline-free home is best.

Willie is house-broken, though like many dogs adjusting to a new routine, he may need a little patience at first. In foster care he used belly bands for the first couple of weeks while he settled in, and then had no issues once he learned the schedule. He sleeps soundly through the night, is crate trained, not a barker, and responds lovingly and reliably to his name. He bonds quickly and truly hasn’t met a human he doesn’t adore. Willie just received a much needed dental cleaning along with removal of a few troublesome teeth but he recovered quickly and was back in action the next day!!

Willie may be a senior, but he is full of love, sweetness, and companionship to give. He is the total package — gentle, loving, and ready to be someone’s heart dog.

Willie is being fostered in Nashville, TN.

If you interested in adopting Willie please visit our site to fill out and application on our website -

https://www.midatlanticiggyrescue.com/italian-greyhound-adoption/adoption-process/
