Meet Willie
Me and my buddy Waylon are just hanging out here at the shelter until the right person offers us permanent digs as members of their household. We’re a fox terrier duo that the folks here estimate to be around 9 months to a year old. Yep, we’ve decided that where one of us goes, the other will go too. We’ve managed to stay together this long, and we reckon to keep it that way,
Now personally, I think I’m the handsomer of the two of us even though I’m a more conservative dresser than Waylon. Me, my wardrobe’s just plain tan with no adornments, but I have what some people think is a cute way of cocking one or both of my ears. Waylon almost always keeps both his ears pointed straight up, and he fancies himself to be a ladies’ man. Guess he reckons that the black area on his shoulders and back, along with that fancy white blaze he wears on his chest, will make him irresistible to them. When we come inside from being out in the exercise yard, I always just head on back into the kennel we share, but Waylon, he likes to stop off and visit for a spell with a cute little hound we pass on the way in and out.
Both of us have tons of energy. We do pretty much everything in unison, but I guess you’d probably consider Waylon to be the ring leader. When we mess around, he’s usually the one who starts things. Someone here said the two of us have no concept of personal space once we get going, and I reckon it’s true. Waylon thinks nothing of draping himself across my back if I’m in his way, and I do pretty much the same to him.
I’m hoping that our furever home will be somewhere with plenty of space for us to romp and play in. Might be nice if there were also some children to be playmates with us. I’ve heard folks here say that we’re fairly clean in our kennel but that we need a home with folks who are willing to spend some time working on house training with us.
They say you can get an adoption application for us by emailing shorespca@gmail.com or by stopping by the shelter between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
