Will's Story

Hi, I’m Will. If they packaged complete joy and shine in a bottle I would be on the label.

I’m a lucky Stranger Things Eleven who made it out and found my way to Freedom Frenchie Rescue. I spent the first part of my life in a breeding situation, which means everything I’m learning now is brand new—kind of like the very first day of school. New home, new people, new dogs, new toys... it’s a lot, but I’m taking it all in with curiosity and excitement. Honestly, life is starting to feel pretty amazing.

Personality – A Little Ray of Arizona Sunshine
If you’ve ever seen the bright morning sun rise over the mountains into the Arizona valley, that’s my personality—warm, vibrant, curious, and full of life.
I’m a happy-go-luck kind of guy who just wants to be friends with everyone. Dogs absolutely love me, and I love them right back. I love big dogs with long hair I just relate to them somehow! I went to a Frenchie meet up and I said hi to every big dog there. Following them around learning from them! I have zero aggression and a really easygoing way about me. If a dog doesn’t want to play? No big deal—I’ll just wander off and find another buddy. No hard feelings. That’s the best part about being a dog... we don’t hold grudges.
And I have to mention my tiny little tongue that sticks out sometimes—it’s pretty adorable if I do say so myself.

Dog Life – Everybody’s Friend
I’m currently being fostered with Joyce, another member of the Stranger Things crew. We’re not exactly bonded, but we are definitely best friends. We hang out, explore together, and keep each other company. If someone wanted to adopt us together, that would be incredible—but I’ll also do just fine continuing my adventure on my own. I definitely need a family that has other dogs. I am pack dog and I enjoy a friend!
Every dog I meet seems to sense my energy, and because of that I’ve never had issues with other dogs. I’m the type who just wants to coexist peacefully and enjoy the moment. FYI my tongue is out all the time!!

Learning the Good Life – Toys, Treats & Adventures
I’ve recently discovered something incredible... toys. My favorite is little Lambie. I carry it around, gently suckle on it, toss it in the air, and then chase after it like it’s the greatest invention ever made. I learned that trick from watching my foster siblings.
Treats are still a little mysterious to me. I like to sniff/inspect them carefully first to make sure everything checks out before accepting them. But I’m getting there! Meal time is improving too. Dogs like me who come from breeding situations sometimes need time to figure out routines, but I’m learning maybe it has taken me a few weeks, but I have never had human food before and that’s what I eat now! SOOOOO different!

Training & Home Life
I’m doing exceptionally well with potty training and I already understand the doggie door. We’re still working through some old habits (marking outside can be fun!), but inside the house I’ve been very respectful.
I’m also a pretty polite house guest. I don’t jump on furniture and I’m happy sleeping on a dog bed or even the cool floor.
I love cuddles and pets, and I’ll happily sit on your lap like the little king I am. I enjoy attention but I’m also patient—I’ve been great at social events, calmly greeting people and soaking up the love.

Brave, Curious & Ready for the World
Unlike some of the pack I came with, I’m pretty brave and not very shy. I handle new situations well and even do surprisingly good in the car—especially considering my first ride ever was when I left my old life behind.

Health
I’m about 3 years old and a healthy little guy. I show no underlying health issues and my heartworm test came back negative. The rescue team even thinks I might be the dad of one of the puppies they rescued a few months ago—we share a pretty similar look and personality!

The Home I’m Looking For
Even though I’m confident and friendly, dogs like me still need patience, structure, and guidance as we learn how to live this new life. Everything is still fairly new, and a loving home that understands the 3-3-3 rule and decompression will help me blossom into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. What I promise in return is simple: Joy, curiosity, friendship, and a little sunshine every single day.

Final Words from Will
I didn’t know life could be like this—friends, toys, cuddles, and people who care. But now that I do, I’m ready to keep learning and loving with the family that chooses me.
So if you’re looking for a gentle, happy-hearted little guy with a tiny tongue and a giant spirit, I might just be your perfect match.
The rescue team even thinks I might be the dad of one of the puppies they rescued a few months ago—we share a pretty similar look and personality!

Will is vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped his adoption donation fee is $1250.00. He is being fostered in Scottsdale, AZ and you can apply for him at freedomfrenchierescue.org.

*Please Note: All learning and guidance must continue in their new home. A dog’s behavior can change with a new environment and energy, and every family’s dynamic is different. What works or is allowed in one foster home may not be the same in yours, so consistency, patience, and continued training are key to their success.
