Wiley's Story
Well, Hi There! My name is Wiley - that's right, just like Wile E Coyote, only spelled differently. Unlike the famous cartoon character, I'm not mischievous, I'm a pretty straight forward guy.

Unfortunately, I was a stray, that was never reclaimed, so no one knows a whole lot about me. It is believed that I am a puggle which is a mix between a beagle and a pug. I am likely around 5 years old and currently receiving treatment for a severe skin condition and a cherry eye, both of which likely went untreated throughout my life. I'm thankful for the shelter team because they've helped me get much-needed veterinary care. I have been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and I'm up to date on my heartworm testing.

The shelter team says I have the BEST PERSONALITY! I am sweet, snuggly, and my nose is always going. I could see myself accepting a job in my new home as the "crumb sweeper". I don't seem to mind kids, other dogs, or cats. I'm a pretty laid back and easy-going guy. A fenced in yard would probably be ideal because my nose definitely takes after the beagle trait and is always sniffing.

I would love to find a home that will help me finish up my skin treatment and celebrate with me when all of my hair grows back and I'm even more handsome! The shelter team is currently working to find a veterinary clinic that will remove my cherry eye, so I will need to go home on foster until that surgery is complete.

If you'd like to meet me, stop by the shelter Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. If you have questions about what a foster looks like, reach out to the shelter team at AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. I hope I get to meet you soon!
