Wilbur's Story

Wilbur is such a good boy. He is friendly, lovable, gentle and listens well. He would do great with a family of any shape or size. He walks perfectly on a leash, is both harness and a gentle leader trained. He will thrive in a family that goes for walks or even one that is a bit sedentary as long as he has a companion. He loves to mouth wrestle, roll around on his back and cuddle. He is young and like all young boys can be a bit chatty or demanding. Wilbur is a very affectionate boy and will force kisses on you. Wilbur would do best in a home with dogs of similar size.

***For more information about this dog and information on how to apply to adopt, please visit www.ncbr.org***

Adoption Process At a Glance.

- Step 1 – Fill out the Adoption Application
- Step 2 – Preliminary Screening by Application Team which includes a Landlord Check (if applicable) and Vet Check
- Step 3 – Meeting with appropriate boxer(s)
- Step 4 – Home Visit
- Step 5 – Adoption Day

Adoption Requirements At a Glance.

* You must be 21 years of age.
* You must have a fenced in yard (exceptions can be made for certain dogs).
* All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information).
* Applicants with young children will be required to answer additional questions.
* Applicants that rent must provide landlord contact info.
