Wilbur

Welcome to rescue Wilbur!

Wilbur is a 6-month-old Newf puppy who just landed in his foster home in central Missouri.

This adorable, clumsy, drool factory has a personality that can't be beat!

Wilbur loves to splash in the water- he also loves humans, dogs (but may be too clumsy at this time for very small or elderly dogs), he's good with cats and he loves meeting new people! He'd love a dog buddy but it's not necessary to have another dog in the home, opportunities for play dates would make him so happy.

Wilbur is working on crate training with great success and he needs to learn not to jump on people when over excited.

At 6-months-old he's heading in to adolescence so his adopter needs to be ready for training. He has a sweet and gentle personality and is sure to grow in to that gentleness with his body when he learns a little more spatial awareness.

Puppies often get adopted to applicants who are already approved and completed screening so get your application in! If you miss out on Wilbur you'll still be on our puppy list for future intakes!

It's never too soon to submit an application, you only need to apply once to be considered for any dog who is a match for your home. Application screening can take several weeks dependent upon volunteer availability.

Read more about our application-screening and placement process here https://nationalnewfoundlandrescue.com/adoption-application-faqs/

** Want to send this dog a gift? When you purchase a bib or bandana from our store with the code 4FOSTER they will receive it. The rescue receives the profit from the sale and the foster dog receives a gift!

When purchasing for a specific dog, please include that note in the comments.

Or, purchase one for yourself!

Link for Bibs

https://nationalnewfoundlandrescue.com/product-category/bib/

Link for Bandanas

https://nationalnewfoundlandrescue.com/product-category/bandanas/
