Whitney's Story

Whitney is an approximately 2 to 4 year old female Sheltie. She came into rescue after her owner died. She was very shy when she first came in. She is making slow progress and will be a 'work in progress' for quite a while. We are looking for an adopter who is patient, has experience with shy dogs, and MUST HAVE a friendly and socially normal dog for Whitney to have as a 'mentor' and playmate. Seeing as she is a Sheltie, she has found her 'voice,' aka barking, whining and 'talking.' Adopter MUST HAVE a fully fenced yard. She needs a quiet home with a patient adopter who can continue to see her bloom into a more confident and happy member of a family. She is being fostered in the middle Tennessee area. We do not ship dogs, and we are not comfortable placing a shy one too far from middle or west Tennessee.
