Whistler's Story

29.2 kg DOB 18Jun25

Meet Whistler
Whistler is a bright student of human and hound behavior with a mountain of intelligence just waiting to be channeled. Operating as a canine copycat, he meticulously studies the veteran dogs in the house, commits their good manners to memory, and mirrors them perfectly.
Of course, this keen intellect also applies to entertainment. Whistler has excellent training potential and is eager to please. He requires structure and daily physical. If his mind isnt busy, he will find a job. That job might be "assistant landscape architect which may or may not result in a freshly dug hole or a few petunia casualties.

Whistlers Way of Life:

He loves window-watching the neighbourhood and offering a complimentary bark to any lucky passerby.
Whistler loves squeaky and crackly toys. He finds them fascinating at all hours.
Our boy has made a grand discovery: the human bed is infinitely better than the floor. Firmly believing the mattress belongs to him at any given hour of the day and will casually launch himself up there, entirely loaded down with toys. (Don't worry, he actually sleeps like a dream at night on his own dog bed or the floor nearby.)

Whistler is being fostered with other dogs and gets along well with them, though he is currently fed separately just to keep the peace.
He LOVES his pack - sometimes a little too much! He has recently taken to giving his foster siblings unsolicited kisses; his affection is incredibly sweet, even if his foster siblings occasionally look at him like, "Please, buddy, I haven't even had my coffee yet." Because he has a MOUNTAIN of love to give, hed do great with dog siblings, but could also easily thrive as an only dog home.

An absolute good boy at heart, he walks beautifully on a leash in secluded areas and is ready to soak up all the training you can give him.
Left alone: Great for a few hours (no destruction!)
House training: Excellent (just needs to be let out on a regular schedule)
Cats: For the safety of the local kitty committee's stress levels, he's looking for a canine-only or pet-free kingdom!

*Adoption includes heartworm test, tapeworm medication, regular dewormer, spay or neuter, Parvo distemper vaccine and booster, rabies vaccine, rabies tag as well as 6 weeks pet trial insurance*

A secured, fenced yard is required.
