MEET WHELAN! STATS: 9 months old, neutered, Staffy Mix, 50 lbs AFFECTION/ENERGY LEVEL: My name is Whelan and I am just the cutest and sweetest little ball of dough you have ever seen! I am a thick little hunk with a good amount of puppy energy, but the CUDDLIEST side of all time. I love my people and I lean into love. WHAT I LOVE: I love running around with my dog friends and just having fun! My shelter family recently found out that I love splashing around in the baby pool with the other dogs and cooling off during these hot summer days. I also REALLY love getting my butt scratched and will dance my booty around while you’re giving me love! KIDS: While I haven’t been formally tested with kids at the shelter, the staff thinks my playful and sweet personality would make me a good buddy for kids that are respectful and kind towards me. OTHER DOGS: I am dog friendly and I go to playgroup every day at the shelter! CATS: Unknown HIS MATCH: I would love a family that likes to play and spend time together! I am great with other dogs, so I would do wonderfully as an addition to an existing dog family or on my own – as long as I have humans that love me, I will be the happiest boy around! SPECIAL NOTE: The staff is convinced I am part donut hole – I am chonky, sweet, and you cant get enough of me! Once you complete the app, a staff member will call you in 1-2 business days once approved to set up a time for you to meet the pet you are interested in. Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1-year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.
