Weston's Story

***HAS BEEN TREATED FOR LYME DISEASE

Meet Weston, a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso with a big heart, a goofy personality, and a whole lot of growing still ahead of him. Weston currently weighs about 90 pounds and is still filling out, so while he looks like a grown dog, he’s very much a puppy at heart.

Weston came to us after his owner was no longer able to care for him. He’s an affectionate, social boy who enjoys attention and likes being around people. He can be a little shy or unsure in new situations, but with time, structure, and reassurance, his confidence continues to grow.

True to his age and breed, Weston has plenty of energy and loves to play and zoom around the yards. He benefits from clear boundaries, consistency, and positive guidance, and will do best in a home familiar with Cane Corsos or other Mastiff-type breeds who understand his size, strength, and developmental stage.

Weston is still learning his manners and will thrive with adopters who are committed to helping a large, young dog grow into a well-rounded adult. Training and routine will be key to his success — and he’s eager to engage once he feels comfortable.

He is a loving, expressive dog with a playful side and a lot of personality. And yes — drool comes with the package, and he gives it freely and proudly.

If you’re looking for a young, affectionate, large-breed dog and are ready to invest in guidance, patience, and structure, Weston has the potential to be an incredible companion.

Weston is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm tested, and started on monthly preventatives. He’s ready to find a home that appreciates his size, silliness, and heart as much as he’ll adore his people.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
