Wesley aka Haircut's Story
Wesley is about 1.5 years old. He was found with a broken hip after being Hit by a Car.

His fracture was repaired, and after many months he made a full recovery. His pins were causing him grief and had to be removed a couple of months ago.

Wesley is a wonderful little friend, he is affectionate and loving with the humans he has full trust in. However , he is very apprehensive of strangers that he does not know. It is crucial that his future forever home respects this fear, and does not force him to interact with people he has not had a chance to bond with.

Wesley should go to an ADULT ONLY home with dog experience. And his humans should be able to read k9 Body language, so they do not set Wesley up to fail.

Wesley is excellent with all dogs, of all sizes. And he likes cats too, but if the cats are not dog savvy, he will chase them. He is excellent on leash. He may need a refresher course in house training, due to him being in recovery at the shelter for so long.

He LOVES to sleep in bed with his humans, he is very cuddly. He allows us to groom him and cut his nails without any issue.

He is fearful of loud people (if you are loud, over bearing or threatening in any way, he will cower and hide from you). And will lose trust in you.

Wesley can have some separation anxiety, but it's not too bad. He is quite young, and likes to chew on stuff like a puppy ie: chewing on wires, remote controls, or anything that is left out in his reach.
You must ensure your home is fully puppy proofed to keep him safe.

A quiet, clean, adult home, that likes to go for walks a few times a day with their on leash buddy, would be perfect.

His adoption fee is $895
He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated. (His medical expenses have exceeded $2000).

We are seeking a home for Wesley that is solely within the Lower Mainland or Fraser Valley.

If you think you are a match for Wesley, please submit the online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your web browser

www.lowermainlandhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/
