Wesley is a 3-year-old, 13-lb Norwich Terrier mix and adorable bundle of scruff - available for adoption now @gratefuldogsrescue25

Fostered in the Bay Area

Apply to adopt at https://www.gratefuldogsrescue.org/

Wesley is crate trained, potty trained, and a total gentleman in the house. He’s incredibly affectionate and lives for snuggles — whether it’s curling up next to his foster parents or cuddling with his doggy foster sister. One of his cutest habits? He loves to sleep on his back, belly up, totally content and trusting

Wesley absolutely shines at home, safe with his loved ones. But the outside world can be a little scary for him. On leash, unfamiliar people and dogs can be overwhelming. Wesley can bark and get reactive so a strong hold on the leash and redirecting in the key. Even still, he is always first out the door for walks, bravely facing the unknown with hope and enthusiasm.

And he is already making such amazing progress in the great outdoors! He will need a loving, patient forever person to help him continue to build confidence at his own pace.

Wesley will do best in a calm home, ideally with another dog who is down for cuddles, lazy hangs, and friendly play. We will have to pass on cat sibs, however, as our boy Wes is a little too curious about squirrels

Wesley has some separation anxiety that does mean a some howling and whining. This could be problematic for those in apartments.

If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal little companion to love and grow with, Wesley might just be your future cuddle buddy.

Grateful Dogs Rescue incurs substantial veterinary and other expenses in rescuing our dogs. In order to recoup some of these costs, we request a tax-deductible donation for each adoption.
