Wes's Story

It's amazing the difference a few days can make With just a little bit of love, some serious tubby-time, and some basic bully care, miracles abound, and our supposedly senior boy (seriously, he came to ur attention as a SENIOR dog who was going to be euthanized) is actually much, much younger than his shelter saviors thought. Talk about a glow-up... The more we get to know Wes, the madder we get at the people who once owned him. He's that practically perfect dog that everyone wants: Potty trained Great on a leash Ok to chill solo Professional cuddle bug We just can't imagine not loving and cherishing this polar puppy. Anyways, on idi*t's trash... Wes is scheduled for all of the care he needs, and we are so excited to find him his people who will love and cherish him as much as he deserves. Austin Bulldog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Austin Bulldog Rescue will consider adoptive families in the Austin, surrounding areas, and the northwest San Antonio area. This is simply due to logistics and distance of travel for our volunteers. Our goal is to make the best rescue match taking into consideration the Bulldog’s background and your family’s needs. Every Bulldog is different: personality, temperament, energy, comfort with kids and other animals, medical needs and more. We take all these factors into consideration when making a furever-home match. We are very careful about the placements we make. We do our best to match the right Bulldog with the right adoptive home, because we want this to be the dog's permanent home. If you are willing to wait for the right rescue to be matched to you, you are an ideal candidate for ABR. As our success rate proves, these precious dogs are well worth the wait. If acquiring a dog is a time sensitive issue for you or your family, rescue may not be for you.
