Wendy is a local, MA-based dog so approved applicants have the option of scheduling private appointments to meet Wendy. But if you're active and like outdoor adventures, Wendy would be a perfect fit. Wendy is very playful and will happily play fetch anytime, anywhere (especially if she can go swimming for a ball!). And, when she’s tired at the end of a great game of fetch, she’s ready for non-stop snuggles. <br/><br/>Wendy is a spunky lab/bulldog mix (DNA test confirmed) who weighs about 50 pounds at almost 4 years of age (estimated). She is a loving girl who adores her people. Wendy has been around children and does well with older kids. Because she’s strong and can get excited, she might accidentally knock small kiddos over. A home with teenagers or older is recommended.<br/><br/>Wendy is unfortunately being returned to us from her first New England adopter because Wendy doesn't always get along with some of the other dogs in the adopter's life. Because of this, we are looking for a home where Wendy can be an only-dog, free to dote on her people. <br/><br/>Wendy comes with a great foundation! She is:<br/><br/>-House trained<br/>-Leash trained<br/>-Crate trained (she will bring her own crate)<br/>-And she loves car rides<br/><br/>She has been working with a professional trainer for the past few months and is doing great with treat-driven, positive-reinforcement training. Her current owner has also paid for some additional training time with the trainer, to make Wendy’s transition as smooth as possible)<br/><br/>Adoption coordinator: Hannah<br/><br/><br/>Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. <br/><br/>If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process.<br/><br/>All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. <br/>Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. <br/>Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements.<br/><br/>Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.<br/>Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. <br/>Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.
