Wendy's Story

Please email us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com so we can email you how to apply to adopt! Thank you!

In foster in Tumwater, WA

WENDY is a super dog…Sweet, lively, attentive, smart… a real sweetheart. We believe she is a cross between a Dalmatian and maybe some hound mix…. maybe some lab in her? If she had larger and more spots she would look tons like a pure breed dalmation. DOB 12/15/24; weighs 48#s. She came to us skinny from previous owners who dumped her back at the kill shelter in Tx ....where we saved her from the kill list (they only keep "owner surrender" dogs for 3 days maximum). She was thinner when they returned her! ugh! That is why we help Texas dogs, they desperately need us!. She had caught up on her weight in a few weeks which means she’s an easy-keeper. She loves food, loves people, gets along with all dogs, AND…was very leery of my cats. She looked at my calico with big eyes and walked out and around her. WENDY has a very calm, sweet demure yet is happy and active. She will be great for active people...including kids. We say kids by seeing the dogs behavior, of course, we always say supervision with children around dogs. She is housetrained and leash trained. She is so easy to love.

Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. You will receive the dog's folder with all the printouts proving the medical treatments received.

Adoption Fee: Includes all of the vetting and transportation to WA/OR.

If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us at shaynesrescue@gmail.com Best to put your phone number too.

You can also go to our Facebook page...
https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/
and LIKE us to help us out.

After we review your application, we will contact you, and you will have the opportunity to find out more from their foster family or the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at shaynerescue@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Shayne's Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please understand we spend all of our available resources and time saving dogs from death. We are all volunteers. Please fill out an application if you have an interest as then we can approve you to adopt any pup/dogs from us. There is no point in sending in an inquiry w/o an application, as we cannot consider someone or have them meet a dog until we have approved your application. You can ask questions in the application. We think we are most reasonable to adopt from, all we ask is you will provide a loving and supportive home as a pet guardian for the dogs entire life. If something major unforeseen occurs you will always return the dog to us, never to a shelter or anyone else. If the dog is ever to go anywhere but back to us, we do need to approve that person/family beforehand.
